**Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic - *Weekly Pay*** _We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our talented team in Chester County_ **Job Description** + Operate equipment to diagnose problems, inspect equipment for defects, and assist supervisors and co-workers with a variety of mechanic and related tasks as necessary. + Knowledge of safety precautions and occupational hazards of the work is essential. + Must understand and follow service manuals, order parts, complete part requisition forms, write thorough repair summaries, train other personnel as needed, and perform routine inspections including Preventative Maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Perform repairs on various types of heavy equipment. + Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect for defects. + Assist supervisors and co-workers with mechanic and related tasks. + Understand and follow safety precautions and occupational hazards. + Follow service manuals for proper procedures. + Order parts and complete part requisition forms. + Write thorough repair summaries. + Train other personnel as needed. + Perform routine inspections and Preventative Maintenance. + Diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, high voltage generators, propane-powered equipment, and pneumatic systems. **Skills & Qualifications** + Troubleshooting and repair skills. + Welding experience. + Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair. + Ability to use a multimeter (12 volt & 24 volt). + Experience working with high-pressure hydraulics. + Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose heavy equipment engines on active job sites. + Experience working on Diesel trucks and Mac Dump trucks. + Ability to work on A/C machines and hydraulics. + Experience with mechanical and computer electronic controls. + Knowledge of air brake systems and computer-controlled automatic and 13-speed manual transmissions. + Experience with high voltage generators and propane-powered equipment. + Familiarity with pneumatic systems. **Why Work Here?** We offer a company truck provided when permanent.
