\nI. Job Summary
\nPerforms preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoots, maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and rebuilds major components on diesel engines, brakes and drive trains. Ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of components.
\n
\nII. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. \n\n\tMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.\n\tPerforms preventive maintenance inspections and ensures the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.\n\tPerforms proficient inspection, diagnosis, and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment.\n\tAids, guidance, and direction to other maintenance personnel.\n\tUtilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.\n\tAdvises supervisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).\n\tInspects the quality of outside/supplier repairs and or rebuilds. Assesses structural damage and assigns needed repairs utilizing the most appropriate method(s).\n\tPerforms service calls for emergency breakdowns.\n\tConducts safety checks on vehicles. Performs maintenance related work as required.\n\tMust be at least 18 years of age.\n\tValid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.\n\tLegally eligible to work in the United States.\n\tAbility to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.\n\tSuccessfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.\n\nC.
