**Forklift Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a Forklift / Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a busy mechanic shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, front loaders, and other machinery. This will include basic repair knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, power train systems. The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret specifications and manuals and diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, and front loaders. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, power train, and pneumatic systems. + Read and interpret specifications and manuals. + Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment. **Essential Skills** + Experience as a Diesel Mechanic. + Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. + Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ideally 5-10 years of experience with heavy equipment mechanics on diesel engines. + Experience working with forklifts, front end loaders, and other equipment. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
