Heavy Equipment Mechanic
**Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic** **Job Description** The heavy-duty equipment mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and service of machinery. They need to have knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics, as well as electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will be expected to work and perform maintenance on backhoes, skid steers, and various paving equipment. **Responsibilities** + Repair, maintain, and service heavy-duty machinery. + Perform maintenance on backhoes, skid steers, and various paving equipment. + Utilize knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics, and electrical and mechanical systems. + Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness, free of safety hazards. + Work with hands in tight spaces such as motors and under vehicles. + Work outside and on uneven ground, including rock, gravel, and construction sites. + Work independently and as part of a team. **Essential Skills** + Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and diagnostics. + Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. + Ability to perform maintenance on heavy-duty equipment such as backhoes and skid steers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 certification in the construction industry. + Ability to use personal tools or company-provided tools. **Why Work Here?** Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage offered after the first 90 days. The shop bay has an area for tools, servicing equipment, and ample space for working. The service area provides a more capacious space for servicing various equipment. The position operates Monday through Friday, with two shifts available: 1st Shift (5am-3pm) and 2nd Shift (11am-7pm). Steel toe shoes and long sleeve uniforms are required, which will be provided by Cintas. Using personal tools is strongly preferred. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $89000.00 Benefits: Medical, dental, Vision, offered after first 90 days. Pay increases(s): With great performance candidates can expect a pay increase after first 30-60 days.
