Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience repairing mobile mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements, specifically with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr. OEM experience is highly desired.
ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain mobile mining equipment.Conduct machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.Disassemble and reassemble/rebuild Frac Transmissions.Perform welding fabrication, including arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of an oxyacetylene torch.Handle technical aspects of hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment.Operate service vehicles and maintain a clean driving record.Work independently in the field without supervision.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years repairing mobile mining equipment.Minimum of 3 years exposure to mining equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr.Experience with machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacement.Mechanic experience with Frac Transmissions (disassembly and assembly/rebuild).Experience with welding fabrication, arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of an oxyacetylene torch.Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.Proficient in mechanical repair, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.Skilled in troubleshooting, diesel engines, and forklift repair.Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to operate a service vehicle.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Able to lift more than 50 pounds.Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced service environment.Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.Must have a safe working record.Why Work Here

Work Environment
The position follows a 14-7 rotation with working hours from 6am-3pm. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor responsibilities in a shop setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Braithwaite, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00
Health, Medical, Dental, 401k.
All people that are extended offers will be as a direct placement in a 13 week incremental period. They will receive all company benefits directly from Host as they will not be considered an Aerotek employee.
