Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic
Job Description

The heavy-duty equipment mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and service of machinery. The successful candidate will have knowledge of hydraulics, diagnostics, as well as electrical and mechanical systems. They will be expected to perform maintenance on backhoes, skid steers, and various paving equipment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform repair, maintenance, and service of heavy-duty machinery.Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.Maintain and service backhoes, skid steers, and paving equipment.Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on all equipment.Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness, ensuring they are free of safety hazards.Work with hands in tight spaces, such as in motors or under vehicles.Work outside and be able to walk on uneven ground such as rock, gravel, and construction sites.Work independently and as part of a team.Essential SkillsKnowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems.Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.Proficiency in diagnostics for heavy-duty equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 10 certification in the construction industry.Ability to use personal or company tools.Capability to work in tight spaces and outdoor environments.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 1st shift from 5 am to 3 pm. The dress code includes steel-toe shoes and long sleeves, with uniforms provided by Cintas. Work will be conducted both inside the shop and in an outdoor service area. The shop bay is equipped with tools and space for servicing equipment, while the service area offers a more capacious space for various equipment servicing tasks. Using your own tools is strongly preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $89000.00
