**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic**
**Job Description**
This position involves servicing various equipment used for construction projects, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, and other related equipment. The role requires expertise in hydraulic systems and electronics. Previous experience with heavy equipment rental is a plus. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, oiling, and lubricating equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure that equipment is in good working order and fully operational for clients to rent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
+ Perform preventative maintenance, oiling, and lubricating of equipment.
+ Work within a team to ensure all daily check-ins and check-outs are completed.
+ Troubleshoot breakdowns in the shop, over the phone, and sometimes on the road.
+ Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
+ Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
+ Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with heavy equipment.
+ Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electronics.
+ Ability to work with boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other construction equipment.
+ Field service experience.
+ Troubleshooting and repair skills.
+ Understanding of schematics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Industry-specific experience is a plus.
+ Experience in fixing and maintaining boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other construction equipment.
**Work Environment**
You will work in a smaller team of about 10-12 people on-site in a relaxed environment. The site includes a small yard with all the equipment. This is a traveling role with locations surrounding the Richmond area. You will drive a company vehicle and should be back home most nights. The shift is from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

This position is based out of Richmond, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
