Summary AJANTA CONSULTING, LLC. Enid Mississippi The Heavy Equipment Mechanic analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as diesel motors and generators, dump trucks, backhoes, payloaders, pumps, compressors and small engine commercial grade lawn equipment. Responsibilities Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects. Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools. The inspection, servicing, disassembly, repair, replacement, and reassembly of bearings, seals, shafts, gears, hydraulic cylinders, actuators, gages, motors, lubricators, cylinder liners, and pumps. The welding, cutting, brazing, soldering, and joining of ferrous and nonferrous materials. The inspection, operator, servicing, disassembly, repair, installation, and reassembly of lifting equipment including overhead cranes and portable cranes located in shops and structures. The use of a variety of hand tools common to the requirements of the contract. The lifting and carrying of heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Support the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills. This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid state driver license or Commercially licensed (CDL A or B) Possess a current and valid State driver's license covering the type of vehicle or equipment being used. Must maintain a current commercial driver’s license for the type of vehicle being operated. Minimum three (3) years prior experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Combination of experience to repair engines, transmissions, transfers, hydraulic, air brakes, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance systems of moderate difficulty. Abiliy to perform welding and minor body repair. Ability to lift or carry of heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
