Position Overview:

As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently operating equipment involved in the installation and maintenance of bogies on Rail Vehicles.


What your day will look like:

Efficiently load long assemblies, crates, and bundles onto flat cars or truck trailers following proper procedures.Operate Straddle Carrier equipment to move long items from one location to another.Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and instructions, complete required documentation.Safely use hand and power tools, with certifications for cranes, forklifts, etc.Provide training and work direction on loading/unloading methods, ensuring safety and proper use of PPE.Collaborate with team members, coordinate activities, and communicate effectively to ensure efficient workflow and safety adherence.

What we are looking for:

High school diploma or GED1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, forklift operation, and/or similar machine equipment operation.Proven experience operating heavy machinery and equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation setting.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 plus 10% shift differential for second shift. This is a 2nd shift position. The role is eligible for overtime and shift differential pay for certain work schedules. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
