Heavy Equipment Operator
**Heavy Equipment Operator** **$24 - $35/hr | Omaha, NE to start training then travel to Louisiana** **We are looking to hire multiple heavy equipment operators for a traveling company. Training will be held in Omaha, NE for 2-4 weeks and then will travel to Louisiana in October or November. The Louisiana project will be going for a full year.** **Job Responsibilities:** + The scraper operator will be cutting to Grade. This means they will drive across the top of the earth and the scraper scrapes the earth up and into the holding bowl for removal or relocation. The goal is to even out and level the terrain for the Finish Dozer hands to fine grade to completion. + The Scraper hand will need to take accountability for the pre inspection and end day inspection of machine and report any concerns to management. + Haul truck drivers will move dirt and relocate on site. + Dozer hands will push dirt for final grade. **Qualifications:** + Experience operating Scraper, Tractor, Haul Truck, Dozer + Operating CAT Challenger Pull Scrapers and Quadtrac Scrapers and Experience with Single or Dual Wheeled Scrapers and Pull Type Scrapers + 2+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site + Most successful candidates are not concerned with the rough ride nature of these machines and will not be hesitant about operating one of the machines. **Work Environment / Shift:** + The work day will run from **6am-6pm Monday - Friday. Saturdays** may also be required depending on work load and weather delays. + Civil construction site. Wide open space in what used to be farmland. + High degree of safety protocols to follow per OSHA Standards. + There will be lots of activity. Communication and awareness of surroundings is critical to success. Distracted operating will not be tolerated.
