Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Equipment Operator with our Mining and Reclamation department. The successful candidate is responsible for Operating Excavators, Dozers and Graders as well as other miscellaneous equipment.

Responsibilities:

Safely and effectively use heavy equipment to complete tasks as assigned  Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment and comply with all safety rules and procedures  Perform or assist in mechanical repairs on heavy equipment Track scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying the supervisor if maintenance is past due Fill out performance records to report problems with equipment Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment. Train new team members in the safe operation of heavy equipment and fill out training checklists The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role. Ensure sites are kept clean and safe Heavy equipment required to operate includes but not limited to loader, dozer, grater, skid steer, scissor lift, elevated work platform, and light vehicle.

   

Qualifications:

High school diploma  Prior experience operating similar heavy equipment  Diesel mechanic degree or higher education preferred Able to read, write, and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements  Reliable, consistent work history  Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills  Ability to follow orders, especially under pressure Ability to work to strict deadlines and work independently A positive outlook and a willingness to learn
