Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

As a Operator, you will be responsible for safely setting up and dismantling rigging for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment and materials. You will inspect and select appropriate rigging equipment, such as ropes, chains, shackles, and slings, to ensure safe and efficient load handling. Additionally, you will operate rigging equipment, including hoists and winches, to safely lift and transport heavy loads. Performing pre-use inspections of all rigging equipment to identify defects or wear, and reporting any necessary repairs or replacements to ensure safety will also be part of your role. You will work closely with other team members to coordinate lifting and moving activities, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and company policies.

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position located onsite at the project. You will need steel-toe boots, a hard hat, and safety glasses. The shift is from 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday to Friday, with a one-hour break. Alot of overtime is expected. Please bring your own lunch and drinks as there will not be much time to run off-site.

Job Type & Location

This is a 6 Month Contract position based out of Ellabell, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00
