Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description

Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites. They will be required to operate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers to complete rough and fine grading. Individuals must be comfortable working outside the cab.

ResponsibilitiesOperate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers on construction sites.Perform rough and fine grading.Engage in manual labor such as cleaning tracks on track equipment at the end of the shift, assisting with grade setting, and silt fence installation.Maintain a clean and uncluttered equipment cab.Report necessary repairs and ensure lubrication and proper use of equipment operated.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation.2-3 years of experience operating excavators, dozers, and front end loaders.Additional Skills & QualificationsGrading, excavator, bulldozer, motor grader, heavy equipment operation, fine grading, rough grade, vibratory rollers.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Individuals will work on average 40-50 hours per week. Hours are Monday - Friday 7am-5pm (depending on weather) and must be flexible to work some weekends. They will conduct rough and fine grading on job sites and other general labor responsibilities. There are a total of 20 job sites, so the individual must be flexible to work on all sites. The locations of the sites are in the Richmond Metro area with the furthest location being in New Kent, VA.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
