**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites. They will be required to operate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers to complete rough and fine grading. Individuals must be comfortable working outside the cab. **Responsibilities** + Operate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers on construction sites. + Perform rough and fine grading. + Engage in manual labor such as cleaning tracks on track equipment at the end of the shift, assisting with grade setting, and silt fence installation. + Maintain a clean and uncluttered equipment cab. + Report necessary repairs and ensure lubrication and proper use of equipment operated. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation. + 2-3 years of experience operating excavators, dozers, and front end loaders. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Grading, excavator, bulldozer, motor grader, heavy equipment operation, fine grading, rough grade, vibratory rollers. **Why Work Here?** The company has been around for 80 years and prides itself on having higher retention. There are a total of 20 job sites, so the individual must be flexible to work on all sites. The locations of the sites are in the Richmond Metro area with the furthest location being in New Kent, VA. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
