Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) will support remediation work that includes various construction tasks such as clearing and grubbing, installation of erosion control materials, soil excavation, grading, dewatering, backfilling, truck scaling, equipment decontamination, and restoration efforts. The operator's primary role is to operate construction equipment (Excavator, Backhoe/Loader, Dozer, Skid-Steer, and Roller Compactor) to carry out these projects.

ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy construction equipment such as Excavator, Backhoe/Loader, Dozer, Skid-Steer, and Roller Compactor.Perform construction tasks including clearing and grubbing, installation of erosion control materials, soil excavation, grading, dewatering, backfilling, truck scaling, equipment decontamination, and restoration efforts.Assist with general labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.Travel as needed to support project requirements (up to 75% travel).Essential SkillsMust have 10+ years experience operating (excavator and dozer)Remedial construction techniques to include but not limited to:UST closure projectsDig & haul projectsTreatment system installationsSoil mixingPlant decommissioningDemolitionBackfill installation and compaction and slope construction.Benching/shoring requirements.Site controls to include erosion controls, dust mitigation, and site security measures.Equipment and personnel decontamination procedures.Elevation, grade control and GPS guided heavy equipment.Rigging and lifting requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications40-Hour Hazwoper certification (preferred but not required).Environmental experience.Why Work Here?
