Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a focus on excavator operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in marine construction, particularly with rip rap and shoreline sill work.

ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment, specifically excavators and loaders, in marine construction projects.Perform rip rap and shoreline sill work.Lead and coordinate with other team members to ensure project efficiency and safety.Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.Essential SkillsProven experience in marine construction.Proficiency in operating excavators and loaders.Ability to perform rip rap and shoreline sill work.Strong understanding of safety protocols and maintenance procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with rock placement near water shorelines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors in all elements from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
