**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to operate scrapers and help level terrain for final grading. The position will involve working from 6am-6pm Monday to Friday, with possible Saturday work depending on workload and weather delays. The role includes performing pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of the machine and reporting any concerns to management. **Responsibilities** + Operate CAT Challenger Pull Scrapers and Quadtrac Scrapers. + Use Single or Dual Wheeled Scrapers and Pull Type Scrapers. + Perform cutting to grade by scraping the earth and relocating soil to level the terrain. + Conduct pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of equipment. + Report any mechanical concerns to management. + Maintain a high level of communication and situational awareness on the job site. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site. + Proficiency in handling heavy equipment including scrapers. + Ability to work long hours and potentially on Saturdays. + Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Monroe, Louisiana **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
