**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking experienced Bulldozer, Excavator, and Haul Truck Operators to perform mass grading on a new solar farm. The roles involve clearing land, building pads, and excavating basins. **Responsibilities** + Operate bulldozers, excavators, and haul trucks to perform mass grading. + Clear land, build pads, and excavate basins. + Work closely with general laborers to install silt fences, perform hydroseeding, and other related tasks. + Ensure all tasks are performed with a high degree of safety and precision. + Adhere to project timelines and work schedules. + Maintain equipment and report any issues to the project manager. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience operating excavators or bulldozers (both preferred). + 3+ years of experience using articulated dump trucks. + Ability to perform fine grading with dozers and excavators. + 3rd party certifications for bulldozer, excavator, or articulated haul truck operation. + Safety certifications such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Solar farm experience is a plus. + Ability to work significant overtime and weekends as needed. + Strong reliability and punctuality. + Excellent safety awareness and knowledge. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading company in the solar construction industry with a strong track record and a significant amount of work lined up in Virginia over the next year. The new construction environment will expose you to the elements, including hot and humid conditions in the summer. The work schedule is initially 50 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with an hour lunch break and short breaks in the morning and afternoon. Appropriate work clothing and PPE gear, including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vests, and gloves, are required. Safety is paramount, and strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
