**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking Heavy Equipment Operators for various civil site work locations in the Charleston area. This role offers the advantage of limited travel requirements, allowing you to be home every night. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be an integral part of our team, performing a range of tasks beyond operating equipment, including manual labor and support activities to ensure project completion. **Responsibilities** + Operate a variety of heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, backhoes, and graders. + Perform fine grading and GPS-related tasks as needed. + Assist with manual labor tasks, including shoveling, trench work, and loading/unloading supplies and equipment. + Collaborate with the crew to meet project deadlines and completion dates. + Ensure reliability and punctuality in attendance and tasks. + Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the team effort. + Comply with safety protocols and submit to a drug test. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment operation (dozers, excavators, backhoes, graders). + Fine grading experience is highly preferred. + Experience with GPS systems is preferred. + Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong work ethic and willingness to perform manual labor tasks. + Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits and operate as a family-owned company where employees are valued and not just numbers.
