Covia Energy, a leading provider of proppant to the oil and gas industry with a differentiated footprint of low-cost, logistically advantaged mining and terminal assets serving all major U.S. shale basins, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator III - Night Shift, to be based out of the company’s Tunnel City, WI. facility. Covia Energy is in the process of separating into a standalone company from Covia Corp., which will focus on industrial silica applications.  

 

Key Accountabilities:

Work in a safe manner and abide by all Covia and MSHA safety rules, regulations, and best practices.     Be physically capable of performing job duties of a Mobile Equipment Operator, which include but are not limited to:  Be capable of operating mobile equipment in a harsh quarry environment.  Be capable of walking on uneven ground and up and down hills.  Be capable of climbing ladders and working at height. Be capable of wearing a respirator, safety harness, safety glasses, hard hat and other Personnel Protective Equipment.  Be capable of working in year-round outdoor conditions which include hot, cold and wet weather.  Be capable of push, pull, lift and carry 50 pounds on a continuous basis.  Be capable of shoveling on a continuous basis.  Knowledge of operating industrial sand plants, mobile equipment or maintenance practices is desirable.  Be capable of reading and understanding safety warnings, safety procedures and written Job Instructions.  Be capable of completing other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.  

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred 2-3 years front end loader experience preferred
