Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.
Essential Functions Ability to work safely at all timesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel enginesMechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power toolsWeld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience HS Diploma or GED requiredExperience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs preferredCertification from a trade school is preferredPrevious mining experience is a plusBilingual is a plus A CDL and a clean driving record is a plus. Work Environment This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
