Responsibilities You will assist with work involved in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of equipment and vehicles. You will assist higher graded heavy mobile equipment mechanics in the disassembling, repairing, and assembling of components, and operating mechanisms associated with the vehicle parts that require repair. You will assist with removal, adjusting, and/or replacing defective or worn parts and components. You will assist, when needed, in the complete overhaul and repair of major systems such as engines, transmissions, drivelines, and hydraulic utility systems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
