General Summary 

Heavy Truck Driver is needed for China Lake Support Project.

Essential Duties

Operate a heavy-duty truck to transport materials, merchandise or equipment.  Plan and perform the loading and unloading of transport equipment.  Make minor mechanical repairs and keep trucks in good working order. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements 

Must possess and maintain valid Class A, California Driver's License with N and X endorsements – current DMV printout required. Six months verifiable experience driving heavy trucks.  High school diploma or equivalent. 

Work Environment and other Special Information

Steel toed safety shoes required. Must have the physical strength to lift 75 pounds, tie down loads with rope or binders, hook-up 5th wheel trailers, etc. Must provide current DMV printout. Must be able to obtain DOD security clearance. Will be required to join Union within 90 days of non-temporary employment or transfer. Employer will enroll employee in DMV Pull Notice program.
