Helena Education Foundation Executive Director JobID: 2945 + Position Type: Independent + Date Posted: 2/13/2025 + Location: Lincoln Center (Administration Offices)    We are seeking an Executive Director for the Helena Education Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to enriching education in Helena Public Schools. The Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of the Helena Education Foundation’s mission (https://hefmt.org/about-us/) and is accountable for financial management, operations and program/project development. + Responsible for strategic planning for the organization, including supervision and completion of Foundation projects authorized by the Board of Directors. + Supervise and engage in the development, implementation and assessment of fund development activities. Oversee accounting functions and preserve the financial integrity of the Foundation. + Represent the Foundation and provide visibility to the community and other social organizations to develop and maintain strong public support. + Develop and implement media strategies for programs and initiatives of the Foundation. + Responsible for coordinating, encouraging and participating in the writing of private grants for the Foundation. This includes promoting the Foundation grant program, collecting applications, overseeing review of applications, notifying successful and unsuccessful applicants, and distributing funds and collecting information on projects. + Partner with principals to identify Distinguished Students, oversee students’ selection of Distinguished Educators, facilitate notification of educators, and coordinate publication and ceremony. + Maintain current knowledge of Helena School District projects and programs to gain financial support, and to develop ideas and programs that the Foundation can undertake to enhance public education in the community. + Supervise the establishment and maintenance of extensive files of current and potential donors and fundraising activities, utilizing the donor software E-Tapestry. Who we are looking for: + A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, marketing, or related field; and + Three years’ experience in fund development for non-profit organizations with substantial experience in successful fundraising and promotion at the local or national level; or + An equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the district. + Effectively communicate related information to a variety of stakeholders. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, students, staff and the general public. + Write and deliver material (speeches, articles, promotional information) that conforms to prescribed style and format. + Read, analyze and interpret relevant information, including educational journals, financial reports, and legal documents. + Demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to function independently. + Respond professionally to donors, regulatory agencies, members of the business community, media and the general public. + Proficiency with computers and keyboarding. + Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
