Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst in Stratford, Connecticut. The role is within the industry of Information Technology and involves tasks such as software and hardware support, customer service, and working with Microsoft tools and computer hardware.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
• Maintain an inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
• Respond to and resolve help desk requests.
• Assist with onboarding of new users, ensuring they have necessary hardware and software.
• Monitor the performance of the company's desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency.
• Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
• Test solutions and software to ensure security and efficiency.
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.
• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals. Requirements • Must have a minimum of three years of experience as a Help Desk Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
• Solid understanding and experience with computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Expertise in configuration management, including the ability to maintain and enhance system configurations according to business requirements.
• Experience in deployments, including the ability to plan, implement, and manage software and hardware deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in IT Support, Microsoft, or other related fields are a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
