The Department of Health, Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) is requesting a skilled resource to work with the desktop support team to assist with daily operations, working on Remedy Tickets that require desktop hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and resolution.  Desktop imaging, installation/setup and moves.  Printer setup and moves as well as troubleshooting.   Assist with hardware  inventory maintenance.  Traveling to remote DOH offices is required.  Work hours would vary depending upon project goals as they relate to department-wide pc installs.

 

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

 

Troubleshooting and resolution includes but is not limited to:

•  PC/Laptop/Tablet/Printer hardware failure diagnosis and resolution

•  PC/Laptop/Tablet Software install, troubleshooting and resolution

 

Install PCs and Printers – must be able to lift up to 30 pounds

•  Install Image on PCs, Laptops, Tablets

•  Install/Configure PCs, Laptops, Tablets and printers

•  Move Pcs/Monitors and Printers

•  Travel to remote locations to assist with installs

 

Inventory maintenance consists of:

•  Checking inventory spreadsheets for accuracy

•  Entering inventory information from install sheets

•  Comparing and confirming install sheets against inventory spreadsheets

 

This resource will report to the Desktop Support Supervisor.  The engagement will consist of a 37 ½ hour work week, 7.5 hour day, 5 days a week for a 3 month period.  Work hours would be 8:00AM to 4:30PM but could vary dependent upon projects. 

 

This resource will work in the Health & Welfare Building, and will be responsible for parking costs.

 

Some travel will be required, a travel budget of $1,000 will be established to reimburse expenses.
