Description
Robert Half is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to our employees/clients. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, troubleshooting problems and ensuring a positive user experience.
Responsibilities: Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners). Log and track all support requests in a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation. Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed. Assist with the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices. Install and maintain software applications. Provide user training and guidance on software and hardware usage. Maintain a positive and detail-oriented demeanor while interacting with users. Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs. Follow established procedures and best practices for incident management. Proactively identify and report potential problems.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred. Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role. Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. Proficiency in troubleshooting common technical issues. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
