Help Desk/System Administrator

Onsite | Fall Church, VA. | 5 Days a Week

US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Required

 

 

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based systems, including desktops, servers, and network infrastructureManage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, and Group PolicyPerform regular system maintenance, updates, and security patches across the networkMonitor system performance and capacity planning for both workstations and serversDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issuesManage and maintain network resources including file shares, printers, and other peripheralsCreate and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and proceduresProvide tier 1 and 2 technical support to end users via phone, email, and in personImplement security best practices and ensure compliance with IT policiesParticipate in technology planning and infrastructure improvements

Requirements

3+ years of combined systems administration and help desk experienceExperience with Windows Server administration and Active DirectoryStrong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and common protocolsExperience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, batch scripts)Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systemsUnderstanding of IT security principles and best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearlyExperience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planningAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAvailable for occasional after-hours maintenance and emergency supportAbility to lift and carry 40 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods

Education/Certification Requirements
