This position requires a DoDSecret Clearance Position Overview: TheHelp Desk Technician II/AV Assistantprovides engineering and O&M support forVTCand multimedia systems to ensure resources and services are operational and available with minimal interruption. Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor VTC network performance and conduct daily system/equipment checks to ensure connectivity and effective operation; - Schedule, coordinate and manage VTC resources, conference rooms, calendars and bridges; and set‐up, establish and connect secure and non‐secure VTC calls and bridge connections; Assist local facilitators with conference room with set‐up VTC and operations; and provide training and technical assistance in troubleshooting equipment and connections as required. - Provide on‐site technical support duringDV‐hosted(O‐6 and above) VTCs. - Install, configure, upgrade and maintainVTC suites, desktop VTCs, and audio/visual systems and equipment. - Monitor and control VTC performance, utilization and capacity to ensure optimal system performance, availability, serviceability and recoverability; and report vulnerabilities or deficiencies to government technical representatives. - Evaluate new requirements, conduct site surveys, research and recommend solutions; and plan, engineer, design and integrate approved solutions. - Formulate strategies, develop plans and prepare technical documentation for the integration of new VTC technologies into existing infrastructure. - Evaluate existing infrastructure, research current technologies/solutions; and provide hardware/software upgrade and replacement recommendations for end‐of‐life/end‐of-support COTS products to government technical representatives. - Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance. - Assist with tracking and management of COTS licenses, warranties, service level - agreements renewals for VTC and multimedia systems equipment and software. - Support on‐demand and ad‐hoc multimedia requirements. - Develop and maintain up‐to‐date VTC and multimedia systems and architecture engineering, installation, configuration baseline and accreditation drawings, diagrams and documentation. Abilities: - Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines - Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner - Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills - Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision - Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature - Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals Education and Experience Required: - High school/GED - 2+ years of relevant experience - Must possess and maintain anIT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002 - DoD Secret Clearance - Familiar withCisco CollaborationorCisco Videoor equivalent, Cisco Telepresence, Tandberg, Cisco Video, DISA GVS COVID-19 Vaccinations Requirements - As required by Executive Order 14042 and the Guidance issued by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force, all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law.
