Help Desk Technician - Lubbock
Job Description An employer in the Lubbock, Texas area is looking for a Help Desk Support Technician to join a team of 10 resources to provide troubleshooting support to 350 end users. This person will be responsible for partnering with the business to roll out new technologies, applications, and tools that will positively improve the IT user experience. They will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely manner ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the cycle of support, providing end-user assistance where required. They will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting computer hardware, operating systems, and applications. This includes PC hardware, peripherals, software, and IT equipment, data room equipment, cabling, printing, and replacing parts as required. They will help with new hire set ups and getting them up and running from a technical standpoint. They will also be given a company car to drive out to different locations in the area to help provide support on an as needed basis. He/She must be OK working onsite and be available for callout nights & weekends as needed. Skills and Requirements Have 2 or more years of relevant work experience. Must have a strong customer service spirit and experience in providing IT support. Communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work well with people and assess needs. Strong work ethic with attention to detail. Must have troubleshooting skills and knowledge to provide support for Dell hardware, Microsoft Windows Operating System, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently, multi-task, follow processes, policies, including environmental & safety, and act as a contributing member of a team environment. * Must be able to plan and prioritize daily tasks with excellent organizational skills including accurate records keeping and proper documentation.
