Helpdesk Coordinator
Description We are inviting applications for the position of Helpdesk Coordinator to join our team in the metal fabrication industry, located in STRUTHERS, Ohio. The role involves providing both in-person and remote technical support to our manufacturing facilities. The Helpdesk Coordinator will be the first line of support during normal office hours and second line support at other times. Responsibilities: • Coordinating device provisioning, including PCs, laptops, printers, and handheld devices. • Performing break/fix troubleshooting of PCs, laptops, printers, and handheld devices. • Assisting with new user onboarding including account creation and software setup. • Providing application support for both off-the-shelf software such as Excel as well as in-house systems. • Undertaking basic network troubleshooting and setup. • Documenting issues and resolutions in a ticketing system and keeping procedural documentation up to date. • Offering first line support during normal office hours and second line support at other times. • Successfully resolving issues both over the phone and in person, in the office, and on the manufacturing floor. • Utilizing skills in Active Directory, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, Linux. Requirements • Must have knowledge and experience in metal fabrication industry • Proven experience as a Helpdesk Coordinator or similar role • Proficiency in using Active Directory • Strong understanding of computer hardware systems and configuration management • Experience in deploying various types of software and hardware • Familiarity with Linux operating system • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues • Strong communication skills to effectively assist staff with their IT needs • Ability to work in a team and coordinate tasks effectively • Must have a customer-oriented attitude and be able to handle stressful situations • Willingness to stay updated with advancements in technology and relevant industry trends.
