PURPOSE

Responsible for the growth and profitability of the hemophilia portfolio and delivering on overall franchise goals. This is accomplished by promotion around the total office call which includes HCP’s, decision makers, and staff within a given practice/ key account. Also, cultivating strong relationships with Hemophilia community members and stakeholders (Patients/Caregivers, Specialty Pharmacies, Regional and Local Chapters) to execute a geography-based business plan to accelerate high value patient starts/switches to Bayer hemophilia products.

The territory is San Francisco, CA. The span of coverage will be South to Fresno, CA and North to the Oregon State Border. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The candidate must be domiciled within the territory and preferably within Sacramento, San Francisco or San Jose, CA areas as they are the center of the territory.  

 

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish new relationships and cultivate existing relationships with HCP’s and staff in key accounts, centers/practices, and Community stakeholders (patients/caregivers, specialty pharmacies, regional and local hemophilia chapters) to gain additional market share for product portfolio; Demonstrate effectiveness of calls with HCPs, patients, specialty pharmacies, and chapters and ensures these are aligned with strategic goals;Effectively discover and address account, center/practice, and community stakeholder needs with compelling messages and solutions;Partner with targeted physicians/hemophilia treatment centers to develop referral networks for portfolio;Become fully versed in priority Speaker Program topics, serving as a presenter within your territory and support peers in a Speaker Program or 1:1 capacity to advance strategic objectives;Dynamic development and execution of a comprehensive strategic and tactical territory sales business plan leveraging available data and tools including quarterly plan, gap analysis, marketing, and professional education plan to achieve overall sales goals for all promoted products;Effective partnering with all responsible parties identified in the business plan to adhere to timelines for completion of all initiatives with a strong emphasis on collaboration;Help refine and execute pull-through strategies for key accounts, centers, and practices;Deliver results by collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders (meet or exceed sales or volume metrics);Document all field activities in Veeva;Manage territory operating budget;Demonstrate procedural proficiency. Exhibit deep knowledge of hemophilia products and disease states;Be highly adaptive to multiple engagement channels (e.g., email, virtual meetings, face-to-face  meetings, Speaker Programs, etc.) as determined by Customer needs;Provide feedback on product performance, competition, marketing practices and customer satisfaction;Ensure that all assigned employee training is completed and up to date;Operate strictly within the corporate code of conduct and compliance guidelines set forth by Bayer;Effectively contribute to the success of the organization and service to its internal and external customers by contributing to a positive work environment for all.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS Degree;Must be able to manage extensive travel, overnight and weekend;Must be an initiative-taker, self-motivated achiever, and is accountable for achieving an assigned quota;Must be capable of maintaining accurate records of sample receipts and disbursements;Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines base on the company’s Risk. Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening). 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least 5 years of demonstrated career progression in pharma and/or biotech field sales;Experience in Hemophilia.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $124,073.00 to $186,110.00.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. 

This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
