General Summary of the Position:
Responsible for using drawings layout, construct, and erect forms for a variety of concrete structures. Build support systems and bracing to support pipe, fittings, valves, and equipment. Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete. Mix cement, sand, and water to produce concrete, grout, or slurry using hoe, trowel, tamper, scraper, or concrete mixing machine. Produce rough concrete surface using broom. Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power screed and float. Work with and/or remove hazardous material. Will also handle any other manual labor as needed and assist other crew members.

Thorough knowledge of applicable safety precautions.Strong communication skills to coordinate work flow with crew and foreman.Ability to work under general supervision according to work schedule.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint, or throw an object.Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.Excellent stamina is required.Required Education, Training and Experience:
Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a carpenter.High school diploma or equivalent (GED) strongly preferred.Valid appropriate state driver’s license (general operator license) required; Class A or B CDL strongly preferred.OSHA 10 Certification preferred.Work Environment:
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.Noise level is generally loud.
