Hewlett Packard Labs is looking for a driven and energetic individual to join our business compliance and operations team.  Working alongside the Hewlett Packard Labs Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for various compliance programs and activities to ensure Labs adheres to the appropriate policies, regulations and standards. In addition, you will implement key initiatives across our governance, operations and planning functions that will help Labs run more efficiently. The position requires an individual who is open to wearing different hats and learning different skills across these areas. Self-starting and motivation are key. Programs and projects will provide a unique opportunity to work with world-class researchers to learn about cutting-edge technologies in an iconic R&D organization.

Responsibilities:

Compliance: Develop, implement and maintain Labs’ business compliance programs and activities including records management, Global Trade, and business continuity planning

Federal Invoicing: Partners closely with Labs’ federal contracts officer, finance and research teams to track and manage invoicing for federal programs

Procurement: Streamlines and manages Labs’ procurement process, operations and requests

Planning & Operations: Develop and implement operational and planning best practices/processes to enhance organizational efficiency

Education and Experience Required:

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related degree

4-6 years of work experience in planning, operations, finance, or related functional area

Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with a fast-paced team

Skills:

Demonstrates self-motivation and leadership qualities

Demonstrates high levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Ability to work with ambiguity

Familiar with MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint skills

Perform data analysis tasks such as gathering, compiling, and reporting data, utilizing Excel spreadsheets with macros, pivot tables

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly

Excellent time management skills

Willingness to lend a hand to team members for various projects and activities that arise

Flexible and adaptive to meet changing needs or direction

Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines

USD Annual Salary: $78,700.00 - $181,200.00
