Red Hat's High School Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to gain professional development, network, and acquire meaningful work experience in a dynamic, open-source-driven environment.
This immersive 2-week internship provides hands-on experience in technical and non-technical business functions. In this role, you will contribute to team projects, learn how Red Hat strives to make software freely accessible to everyone around the world, and explore the innovative AI products currently in development.

Eligibility
At least 16 years of age
Reside in the Boston or Raleigh area
Juniors or seniors during the 2025-2026 academic school year
Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
No disciplinary action,as per school requirements to participate in this program
Ability to complete the entire internship (Jul 7-18 or Jul 21-Aug 1)
Ability to arrange own transportation to and from Red Hat office
Ability to complete the required contact hours
Required Skills:
Motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration
Willingness to learn about Red Hat’s business, culture, and strategy
Ability to think creatively and approach challenges with curiosity
Bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm to the team
