High School SRAP Intern- Battery Materials & Systems [Summer]
**Overview** Our expert staff provide multi-disciplinary solutions to complex energy and environmental issues. Key capabilities include science (chemical and mechanical). We employ a systems perspective that includes, discovery technology development and scale-up as well as economic, regulatory, and market acceptance issues necessary for successful technology commercialization. EP&MD focuses on three mission contributions: Clean Fossil Energy, Electricity Infrastructure, & Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The project objective is to develop a framework for data acquisition and datahubs and for tools that accelerates the timefrom lab to market by 15X for energy storage technologies - which is a transformational capability that can change the waywe do innovation. The initial framework for flow batteries is designed to readily apply to development of similar tools forother energy storage technologies, which is described in a strategic roadmap. **Responsibilities** Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking sophomore, junior or senior high school students for intern assignments within the Student Research Apprenticeship Program (SRAP). This **summer internship** is a research-based experience for students who are sophomores, juniors or seniors and/or students interested in science and engineering.
