You will be responsible for developing high-voltage battery technologies that address the toughest challenges facing the adoption of electric vehicles, including safety, cost, life, fast charge time, and range. You will be part of a team that will identify the highest-potential technologies, evolve them into a practical design, and validate the design through CAE and testing.

Master’s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Engineering 10 or more years of experience designing and testing HV battery systems and/or components Research and development experience with a major battery cell supplier, OEM or Tier I supplier. Background in battery module/system design, battery structural, electrical and thermal system development/validation. In-depth knowledge of TeamCenter, CATIA or other CAD/CAE tools. Experience with HV battery durability and crash safety CAE or testing. What you'll do…
Lead design creation for sophisticated HV battery system technologies that span multiple disciplines, including thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Identify and develop system-level interfaces and requirements. Lead design of components or sub-systems. Support modeling and validation of advanced high voltage battery systems and components. Lead failure mode analysis documentation (e.g. FMEAS, P-diagrams, interface diagrams) Collaborate with battery system and component suppliers on key projects. Support internal customers, including propulsion systems team and vehicle architecture.
