Job Description
We are seeking a Highway Construction Inspector- NICET Level II. The candidate must have strong technical experience in highway construction, specifically in concrete and asphalt paving, and hold the necessary certifications to maintain quality and safety standards on site.
Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections on highway construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.Perform concrete and asphalt testing to maintain quality control.Utilize inspection equipment to assess construction quality and safety.Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and communicate them effectively to the project team.Ensure adherence to NJDOT, PADOT, and other relevant construction standards.Monitor environmental compliance on construction sites.Collaborate with civil engineers and construction managers to address any issues that arise during construction.QualificationsNICET level II certification in Construction or Highway Materials, or a related field.Ability to commute to various NJ areas.Minimum of 5 years of experience in highway or infrastructure inspection or related construction roles.Strong knowledge of concrete and asphalt paving techniques.Proficiency in using construction inspection equipment.Familiarity with NJDOT, PADOT, and other relevant construction standards.Experience in environmental fieldwork related to construction.Knowledge of civil construction and engineering principles.Experience in roadway construction and asphalt testing.Work EnvironmentMust be able to work all hours, including during the day, overnight, and in inclement weather. Schedules may change based on project needs.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $83200.00
