Primary Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities include working as a key member of a hydraulic/ water resource design team, serving as a task lead/project engineer on small to large projectsExpected to provide leadership support for project delivery and business developmentThe Transportation Business Group is active in the aviation, transit, freight rail, highway and local roads, and federal market sectors.Include preparation of hydraulic design work using local or national standards: hydrology and hydraulic analysis, scour assessments, roadway drainage design, Hydraulic Reports, erosion and sediment pollution control, stormwater management design, NPDES and Waterway Permits.Preparing Contour Grading and Drainage Plans, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Plans, Drainage Profiles, and Post-Construction Stormwater Management PlansAssist with preparing Specifications and Construction Cost EstimatesAssist preparing scopes, budgets and schedules including day to day communication (verbal and written) with the client,Support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants and keep the project on schedule and within budget, and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Transportation, or Structural Engineering, or a related fieldPE or ability to obtain within 12 months.5 years of transportation engineering design experience requiredExperience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads Designer focused on storm water design and analysis preferred.HEC-RAS and/or SRH-2D river modeling experience is preferredArcGIS Pro and HEC-HMS experience is preferredMicrosoft Office Suite;Solid written and verbal communication skills

Typical starting pay range for this position:

•California will be $78,246.00 - $111,780.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.•Colorado will be $68,040.00 - $106,920.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.•Washington will be $64,638.00 - $111,780.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location..
