Job Title: HIL Test Engineer
Job Description

As a HIL Test Engineer, you will familiarize yourself with the current architecture, address support requests across the company, and eventually work autonomously. You will engage with various benches, handle power and connectivity issues using tools like Multi Meters, and work with radar and networking interfaces. Your role will include documenting problems, providing reports to different teams, and improving bench systems. You will also participate in next-generation system design. Experience with Linux, CAN Protocols, Python scripting, and C/C++ programming is essential. This role involves working with a complex network of computers, high-speed interfaces, digital systems, and embedded computer networks with CAN interfaces.

ResponsibilitiesFamiliarize yourself with the current architecture and start using it.Respond to support requests across the company.Work with benches, troubleshoot power and connectivity issues using tools like Multi Meters.Engage with radar and networking interfaces.Document problems and provide reports to each team.Improve bench systems.Participate in the design of next-generation systems.Deploy systems with the team.Essential SkillsExperience with Linux (professional, academic, or personal projects).Experience with CAN Protocols.Proficiency in Python scripting and C/C++ programming.2-3 years of experience in systems, sensors, and CAN.Experience with Vector or Simulation Tools used for traditional HILS.Knowledge of software tools and embedded software.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustrial Systems experience.Experience with sensors.Knowledge of Machine Learning.Work Environment

This role is based in an onsite setting where you will interact with other teams consistently, including teams in VA and CA. You will report to a supervisor in Canada. Onboarding takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The project supports a 6-month engagement, offering a great opportunity to gain a foothold in an up-and-coming organization within the autonomous vehicle space.
