Position Summary

An Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will assist the Executive Housekeeper with all duties including training, room inspections, and inventory control to ensure 100 percent guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and maintaining inventory control (linen, room supplies, etc.) Knowledge of and ability to perform opening/closing procedures for the housekeeping department as neededInspecting rooms daily to ensure brand standards and overall cleanlinessEnsuring that all maintenance issues are reported immediatelyCommunication of room status to all divisionsParticipating in all housekeeping department meetings, luncheons, and functionsAssisting with all training efforts throughout the housekeeping departmentEmbracing, enforcing, and promoting the QTR culture throughout the housekeeping departmentEmbracing and demonstrating the core ideology dailyEnsuring all rushed/transferred rooms are handled smoothly and efficientlyEnsuring that housekeeping carts are organized and ready for daily workOperating with a guest satisfaction urgency and strives for 100 percent guest satisfaction at all timesPromoting and encouraging team work at all timesMonitoring and logging key controlHas a strong knowledge of Executive Housekeeper duties in order to be able to back up this positionProviding information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities

Requirements

Prior housekeeping experience is required – experience in a hospitality setting is preferredStrong initiative and work ethicPunctual , reliable, and regular attendanceStrong attention to detailCustomer-service oriented and excellent interpersonal skillsStrong multitasking and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills – verbal and writtenExcellent time and project management skills
