A Restaurant Server is responsible for taking and serving customers’ food and/or beverage orders in a friendly, efficient, and effective manner that will inspire guests to return for multiple occasions by providing guests with an unforgettable experience. This position is also responsible for creating a service-driven atmosphere, processing financial transactions, maintaining a clean environment, and performing hotel room service delivery.

 

Taking and serving customers’ food and beverage orders accurately, efficiently, and in a friendly mannerSetting, clearing, and cleaning tables and work area; must keep the work and guest areas neat, clean, and attractive at all timesDemonstrating excellent customer service and interaction by promptly and efficiently responding to all guest inquiries, complaints, or needs to ensure customer satisfactionPromptly reporting customer complaints and/or issues to Restaurant Manager when necessaryDemonstrating a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotionsStocking service area as neededEffectively communicating with other F&B department team members to ensure prompt and high-quality serviceCompleting business transactions, including inputting orders, by using POS system and cash managementAssessing customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendationsFollowing policies and procedures in accordance to the company, brand, and applicable state and local laws, including checking customers’ identification to ensure they meet age requirements for alcoholic beveragesMaintaining a safe and secure restaurant environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; judging when customers have consumed too much alcohol; calling for alternate transportation and complying with all legal regulationsRegularly inspecting and cleaning equipment to ensure excellent working condition and sanitation; achieving or maintaining safety/health certifications for self and follow health and safety rulesProviding guidance/information to guests in regards to hotel facilities, dining options, and area informationPerforming room service delivery to hotel guest rooms in a friendly, timely, efficient, and accurate manner Prior restaurant server and/or Food and Beverage experience preferredPrior experience with POS system and cash managementCustomer-service orientedExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong initiative and work ethicPunctual , reliable, and regular attendance; understand flexible schedulingStrong organization skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent multi-tasking skills
