JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Health Information Management (HIM) position is accountable for a wide variety of functions within the HIM department which include scanning and quality control of medical record documents, and record completion functions. The specific functions assigned rely on the complexity and staffing needs of the facility.

\n

WORK MODEL/SCHEDULE OPTIONS

\n\nThis position is 100% onsite at our McKinney facility. \nThere is no opportunity for this role to be remote or hybrid, therefore this is not an analytical position.\nPosted as full-time but hiring leader will consider part-time if requested.\n\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nProcesses legal birth certificates according to State laws and hospital policy.\nRetrieves medical records from unit, prep, scan and index documents and perform quality control of documents with EHR (Epic and OnBase)\n\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n\nProficient computer and work processing skills.\nExcellent critical thinking skills.\nAbility to review errors and problem solve.\nProven customer service skills.\nAbility to work effectively with a variety of customers; to include physician, nurses, and patients.\n\n
