HIM Associate (Medical Records) Onsite
**JOB SUMMARY** The Health Information Management (HIM) position is accountable for a wide variety of functions within the HIM department which include scanning and quality control of medical record documents, and record completion functions. The specific functions assigned rely on the complexity and staffing needs of the facility. **WORK MODEL/SCHEDULE OPTIONS** + This position is 100% onsite at our McKinney facility. + There is no opportunity for this role to be remote or hybrid, therefore this is not an analytical position. + Posted as full-time but hiring leader will consider part-time if requested. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE** + Processes legal birth certificates according to State laws and hospital policy. + Retrieves medical records from unit, prep, scan and index documents and perform quality control of documents with EHR (Epic and OnBase) **KEY SUCCESS FACTORS** + Proficient computer and work processing skills. + Excellent critical thinking skills. + Ability to review errors and problem solve. + Proven customer service skills. + Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers; to include physician, nurses, and patients. **BENEFITS** Our competitive benefits package includes the following + Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits + 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% + Tuition Reimbursement + PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level **QUALIFICATIONS** + EDUCATION - H.S.
