Position Summary:
Perform transcriptionist work and assure department objectives. Act as department Auditor, be responsible for the job functions of Medical Records (HIM) Techs. Be responsible for daily operations as assigned by Supervisor. Responsible to Supervise techs as assigned. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Complete other work as assigned. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* MEETINGS - Attend meetings as required, and participate on committees as directed
* SUPPLIES - Monitor and order clerical supplies as required
* DUTIES - May be required to perform all technician tasks and duties related to assigned area of responsibility as needed
* MISCELLANEOUS - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature and attending in-services, meetings and workshops
* PEND FILE - Responsible for Pend File (in EMON)
* GUIDANCE - Guide all transcriptionist to perform duties of a transcriptionist as work flow dictates
* AUDIT - Audit Scanned Documents, ROI, and others as required by State, Federal, Compliance and contract requirements.
* LEGAL - Responsible for understanding and working HIM Legal requests
* DME - Responsible for working and understanding DME requests.
* TRAINING - Responsible for training and orienting new and/or perspective employees
* RESPONSIBILITY - Responsible for creating guidelines.
* ANALYSIS - Responsible to ensure chart analysis is done properly/accurately and completely
* SUPERVISE - Perform Supervisory Duty as assigned.
* POLICIES AND PROCEDURES - Maintain established departmental and hospital policies and procedures, guidelines, objectives, and quality assurance programs

Physical Conditions:
