Health Information Management (HIM) Technician (Certified)

Do you want to be a valued member of a team who plays a critical administrative role in providing excellent care to patients in a hospital setting? Do you have an interest in health information management? If so, consider joining our team as a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician working full time days.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Organizing and evaluating patient medical records and work aging listsReviewing medical records for accuracy and completenessWorking directly with clinical staff and physicians to ensure that patient records display up-to-date informationSubmitting delinquency reports for month end reporting including identifying trends and provider suspensionsPerforming verification of ADM/OBS ordersExecuting daily HP/OP report monitoring including deficiency letters and suspension processAssisting HIM Leadership with coding holdsDemonstrating knowledge of ERAVE system and how to assist providers with death certificate completion and paper variance and submission to funeral homes

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

Associates in Health Information Management, with RHIT0-2 years of related experience requiredStrong communication skills requiredHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailHigh level of work qualityAbility to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workFamiliarity with state HIM regulations
