Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing at Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing department and all aspects of patient care. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the highest level of quality care for our patients, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a full-time, individual contributor role based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Director of Nursing will receive a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 per year, paid weekly. In addition, this position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the nursing department, including all nursing staff and operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliant patient care.
- Monitor and assess patient care services, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff, including performance management and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Serve as a mentor and leader to the nursing team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into the nursing department's operations.
- Manage and maintain patient records and compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Communicate regularly with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Handle any issues or concerns raised by patients, their families, or staff promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of Hawaii.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing management role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of nursing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations and laws.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
