We are seeking staff to work with at-risk youth. We take pride in our structured program that focuses on changing a client's behaviors, thinking patterns, and values. Our program primarily focuses on implementing behavioral changes to assist with a successful reintegration into the home, family, and community.
We are interviewing for the following positions for the Orefield, PA campus:
Mental Health Technician - FT/PT
3PM-11PM or 11PM–7AM (weekends required)
$16.50-$20.00
Providing direct supervision and direction to emotionally and behaviorally challenged children and adolescents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This includes requiring an unwavering commitment to the safety of children and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns, on a daily basis, of all children in their care. This responsibility also includes demonstrating the ability to distinguish between discipline and punishment as well as seeing past a child’s surface behavior to recognize the children in need of help.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a valid, active driver's license
Must be able to attend a paid 2-week training, Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM
Prefer experience with children
Those attending college for psychology, social work, education, human services are encouraged to apply!
Assistant House Manager - FT
Responsible for assisting in the administrative coordination of the Residential Unit. This responsibility includes assisting in formulating and implementing formal unit policies and procedures and keeping both the unit staff and clients aware of agency and departmental guidelines. This also includes assisting in the overall functioning of the unit, including staff performance, the quality of the unit program, and any emergencies that may occur.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a valid, active driver's license
Must be able to attend a paid 2-week training, Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM
Must have an Associates degree or 60 college credits
Experience working in similar environments with children for a minimum 2 years
Driver's License
Special Education Teacher - FT/PT
Provide education for KidsPeace students in a highly structured and safe environment. Also, where applicable, provide supervision of the classroom teacher aide.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a valid, active driver's license
Must be able to attend a paid 2-week training, Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM
Must have a PA Teaching Certificate
Must have a Bachelors degree in the education field
Teacher Aide
Assists with the education program designed to provide education and structural programming during the school year. Aides will demonstrate a variety of deescalation and supportive skills which foster a trusting, supportive relationship with the children. Teacher Aides will be actively participating in a variety of educational program needs, including, but not limited to, classroom learning and activities, assisting in facilitating group activities, and other programming needs.
7AM-3PM Monday through Friday
Hourly Rate: $15-$18
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; prefer candidates enrolled in college courses pertaining to Psychology, Social Work, Education and other relatable degrees Be 21 years of age or older Have a valid driver's license Ability to pass physical/drug screen and background checks
Training for positions begins January 20th or February 3rd --- 2 weeks, Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM.
All positions require staff to be at least 21 years of age or older with a valid, active driver's license.
