**Hiring for Assembler in Conover, NC Pay up to $18/hr.** **Apply Immediately** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to verify assembly processes and quality requirements. They will work with supervisors to understand assembly procedures and production goals, using hands and small machinery to build parts. This role involves explaining assembly procedures, positioning, aligning, or adjusting workpieces, cleaning parts, and packing finished parts for shipment. Additionally, the Assembler will examine products to verify quality and rework parts as necessary. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret simple blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to verify assembly process and quality requirements. + Take direction from supervisors to understand assembly procedures and production goals. + Follow assembly procedures to build parts using hands and small machinery. + Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers. + Position, align, or adjust workpieces or parts to facilitate assembly. + Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths. + Pack finished parts for shipment, including labeling and bagging parts, adding the corresponding instruction information, and placing bagged parts into boxes. + Examine products to verify quality, including Bonnet to Body Testing and ECL, identify quality issues, determine causes, and rework parts as necessary. **Essential Skills** + Integrity, reliability, responsibility, and accountability. + Working knowledge of the English language, both oral and written. + Ability to perform work in a safe manner. + High attention-to-detail and strong vision and hearing. + Ability to learn new machines and production procedures. + Ability to lift 45 pounds and perform repeated physical tasks. + Manual dexterity with coordinated hand and finger movements. + Ability to stand for 8 hours a day. + Skill in active listening and following directions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing, packing, production, machine operation, forklift operation, general labor, packaging, general production, machine operating, mechanical work, power tool usage, picking, loading, and inspection. **Why Work Here?** We offer a Skill Matrix for professional and personal development with pay increases at demonstrated benchmarks. The facility is clean, well-lit, and climate controlled. Steel-toed shoes are required, and safety vests, safety glasses, and ear plugs will be provided. All jewelry, including wedding bands, must be removed, and shoulder-length hair must be tied back. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conover, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
