**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** The candidate will be operating a sit-down forklift, taking product off the production line, and placing it onto freight trucks. **Responsibilities** + Operate propane sit-down lift trucks. + Create labels for each production run and verify the correct information is on the label. + Apply labels and feet to each pallet. + Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare them to the labels. + Inspect material for quality defects. + Remove products from the production line and place them in designated locations in the warehouse. + Ensure the production line remains clear and running. + Align rows and maintain a 2-4 inch distance between pallets. + Utilize RF scanners. + Work in a fast-paced environment. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating sit-down forklifts. + Experience in warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and using RF scanners. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience. + High School Diploma or GED (including international equivalents, if proof is provided). **Why Work Here?** Join a leading manufacturer in the Polysio industry, dedicated to providing high-quality insulation panels for the construction sector. The facility includes several production lines with various machines such as saws and slitters. Operators will need to navigate through conveyor systems to reach different areas safely. The facility operates with an open-door policy for loading and unloading trucks, leading to variable temperatures – hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
